Shawn's Haygrinding inc.

I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with a good friend of ours and his haygrinders for some new marketing shots. I must say I was a bit apprehensive at how these would turn out or if we would even get to do the session with all the rain lately. But mother nature must love Shawn, it cleared off just in time to get the trucks out.
~If you feed cattle and need to grind some hay call Shawn, he and Jami will take good care of you.

Mr. Smiles - aka Jackson

The smiles never seem to stop with this little guy! So happy and Smiley; it's hard to choose which pics are my favorites.

Senior Megan Hawk

Although we had to dodge the Rain and break for the volleyball team pictures we managed to have a great time getting all these images. Megan's little sister Callie joined us for the session and provided plenty of entertainment for us- I can't wait to see you girls again at your family session!

The Return of Izzie

So it turns out that after 2 years of having my lens in her face my beautiful daughter said "no more mom!". We went for almost a solid year without good pictures of her, and not from a lack of trying either! However with a bribe of a "hamburger that comes with a toy" (Happy meal) and saying "the pictures are for Daddy for his birthday" we found success.

Miss Luci

My cousin Luci came to visit this Summer she's always willing to be my subject and help me try out new locations. It was hot, humid and buggy the day we took these but she was a trooper - only complaining a few times.

I'm a terrible blogger!

Ok so it's official, after a full summer of not updating the blog, I'll admit it... I'm a terrible blogger!

This summer has been a busy one for me and not just with photography. In June my dad came home from a year long tour in Iraq, so of course we had to have a welcome home party. Two weeks later my dear hubby turned 30.... oh yes big party followed by a weekend at our cabin on the Mississippi. A week later I left for a 4 day conference in Chicago (fantastic time was had by all) Then we spent a week at the county fair (congratulations to all of our $100 gift certificate winners!!) A week after that my sisters boyfriend returned from his deployment in Afghanistan (insert another homecoming party) Of course you can't live in Iowa and miss the State Fair so we took a little mini vacay to DesMoines and I think that brings us to this week, Oh yeah annual family lobster boil this Saturday (YUMMY!)

So someplace admist all that and photo sessions and life in general blogging fell to the bottom of the list. For that I apologize, however there are a lot of exciting things happening here at Creative Image so be sure to check back frequently for the latest updates!
